PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next

Description

PebbleGo (K - 5) is a kid-friendly, searchable database covering animals, science, biographies, social studies, and health. Available in both English and Spanish, it is an indispensable tool for beginning students to learn basic research skills.

This Subscription is available to Enrolled and Flex students.

PebbleGo (K - 3)

PebbleGo has built-in reading and research tools such as levelled texts, consistent navigation, fun educational games, and spoken-word audio that models correct pronunciation and fluency. Students will find much to love about PebbleGo.

PebbleGo Next (Gr. 3 - 5)

PebbleGo Next is the ideal enhancement to PebbleGo. With it, you’ll provide 3rd-5th grade students with hundreds of curriculum-connected articles designed for their needs.  You will log in using the PebbleGo link, then choose the PebbleGo Next tab at the top.

Logging In

Families do not need to set up an account to use PebbleGo or PebbleGo Next. Go to the Search Portal, log in with your Encom Username and Password, and select the Subs/Password tab. Scroll down to the PebbleGo listing and select the universal link.

PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next are very similar. 

Searching PebbleGo

PebbleGo has visual navigation and can be searched by pictures or through the search bar at the top of the page.

Select a unit, and a random spinning wheel will appear by the search bar. Select it to select a random topic.

“Bread crumbs” are the pictures that show up above your article. Selecting any one of them will take you back to that page.

Listening to PebbleGo

Hover with your mouse over headings in PebbleGo to hear them read aloud. Articles are read aloud by selecting the arrow at the article's beginning. Select highlighted words to read or hear the definition.


Finding Information Bars

Once you have chosen your unit, a new bar appears at the bottom of the page, allowing your student to play games or answer a question of the day.


When you have chosen your article, a new bar appears at the bottom of the page, allowing your student many other options for research, including printable worksheets.

Lesson plans and activities, video tutorials, and content maps(lists of all the PebbleGo articles) can all be found at the bottom of the page under the heading "Educator Resources."
