Description

KnowBC (Gr. K -K-Grade 12) is theBC's leading general reference site for BC.site. It brings togethercombines many resources, including the Encyclopedia of BC, which contains some 4,000 articles and 1,000 pictures about British Columbia. The KnowBC website is accessed through Focused Education Resources and the CanadianBC provinceDigital ofClassroom.

Focused Education Resources is a not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports excellence in K-12 education in British Columbia.

 This SubscriptionIt is a consortium of BC public school districts and independent schools that work together to create accessible learning resources for BC schools. Within Focused Education Resources is the BC Digital Classroom, which houses many of the subscriptions available to Enrolled, FlexHCOS and RegisteredFlex families.

Logging In

OpenThere are two steps to log in to KnowBC.

Step 1: Navigate to BC Digital Classroom, then select the Search Portal. Log in with your Encom username and password. Choose the Subs/Password tab. Scroll to KnowBC andicon.

Step 2: Enter the username and password for KnowBC from the Subscription.Subs/Passwords tab in the Search Portal.

UsingNavigation the& SubscriptionUse

Use the search bar on the left side of the page and select “Searching KnowBC” to find a list of links for the many resources that are available to you through KnowBC.

Use the green bar on the top of the home page to find the resources listed there. Use the advanced search button on the top right of the page to search multiple resources at once.
