# PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next

PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next (K-Grade 5) are searchable databases covering animals, science, biographies, social studies, and health. It is a fantastic tool to build basic research skills.

**PebbleGo** (K-Grade 3) has built-in reading and research tools such as levelled texts, consistent navigation, fun educational games, and spoken-word audio that models correct pronunciation and fluency.

**PebbleGo Next** (Grades 3-5) provides curriculum-connected articles designed for intermediate-aged students.

### Logging In

Use the PebbleGo direct link in the Subs/Passwords tab in the [Search Portal](https://hcs.insigniails.com/LibrarySAML/Home).

Visit the [Resources Centre](https://www.pebblego.com/resources) to locate videos, lesson plans, and content maps.

PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next use visual navigation tools. Users can search by either typing into the search bar or clicking on the breadcrumb pictures underneath the search bar. Selecting any of the pictures will take you back to that specific page.

Students can choose to play games or answer the question of the day.

PebbleGo and PebbleGo Next also include assistive technology. Hover your mouse over headings to hear them read aloud. Articles are read aloud by selecting the arrow at the article's beginning. Select highlighted words to read or hear the definition.

Once students have chosen an article, a new bar appears at the bottom of the page with several options.
