# Explora Canada

Explora Canada (Grades 8-12) supports student research with rich, reliable content and easy-to-use functionality. It is a modern and efficient research experience designed specifically for schools and public libraries. Explora could be used with strong grade 6, and 7 students.

### Logging In

Navigate to [Explora Canada](https://research.ebsco.com/c/z2ac3h?acr_values=ip+uid&db=rch). Enter the username and password for Explora from the Subs/Passwords tab in the [Search Portal](https://hcs.insigniails.com/LibrarySAML/Home).

<p class="callout warning">Student work is **not saved** when using the shared account. Students must set up a personal account in [EBSCOhost Student folders](https://connect.ebsco.com/s/article/My-EBSCOhost-Folder-Tutorial?language=en_US) to save their research in Explora Canada.</p>

#### Setting up a personal student account.

<p class="callout warning">Please note that secular content will be included, and parents should supervise their students' searches.</p>

1. Log in to [Explora Canada](https://research.ebsco.com/c/z2ac3h?acr_values=ip+uid&db=rch) using the credentials in [the Search Portal.](https://hcs.insigniails.com/Library/Subscriptions)
2. Select "myEBSCO" at the top right of the page. Then select "Create an account."

 3. Set up your username and password.

 4. Sign in to your student account, where projects can be saved.
